Sibongile Mukiwa is a highly experienced secondary school teacher with successful track record in teaching and assessment, research and outreach. She inspires Malawi’s youth through her involvement in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that aim at motivating, educating, and transforming young people in Malawi.  With her motto, teaching to change lives, she, for the past 18 years, has been able to attain the following capabilities: trainer of trainers for secondary school teachers in remediation, assessment and revision lessons; book evaluator for Malawi Institute of Education; and guidance and counsellor of adolescent girls in Malawi. On the professional front, Sibongile has been a champion in the following subject area: Social and Development Studies and Life Skills. On social front, she has dedicated herself to playing netball, planting trees, and listening to music. However, her desire to see a transformed Malawi has led her to become a volunteer trainer in girls’ empowerment.  Through her dedication, resourcefulness, and goal-driven life style, she has witnessed social and academic growth; and development of the boy and girl child in Malawi.
